LOCATION
El Gouna was founded in 1989 and is located 25 km north of Hurghada, Egypt. At first there was only one hotel and a few villas. Today, everyone can live their passion in El Gouna, be it kitesurfing, diving, horse riding, wellness, yoga, swimming or just relaxing here. Whether you are looking for relaxation or action, everything is possible in El Gouna.
SPOT
Huge shallow area of crystal water for kiting, 2-3 km long and approx. 1 km wide up to the reef. This is our spot. Beyond the reef, there are other shallows for beautiful trips. The bottom is sandy without dangerous corals.
The water depth depends on the tide, which is 40-70 cm. At maximum low tide, you can also kite near the beach, but you have to walk about 30-50 m, then there is water everywhere. At maximum tide, the water is up to the chest. Our spot is the most suitable in El Gouna for hydrofoil and wingfoiling.
In the very north of El Gouna you will always have perfect conditions for kiting. It doesn’t matter if it’s high or low tide, there is knee, hip and chest deep water standing here. We have no obstacles against the wind (trees, hotels, etc.). Thanks to this, you can enjoy completely clean and constant wind on the shore.
There are no dangerous corals or reefs near the shore. In places you can only step on shells, so you should wear water shoes for protection.
We have divided our spot into 2 parts — teaching area and advance area, which will ensure safety on the water for everyone.

KITE POWER is the home of kiteboarding in EL GOUNA, Egypt. We are certified IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) professionals, we really love what we do and in our courses we will teach you all the necessary skills quickly and safely. If you have an IKO certification, you can also use the convenience of a rental shop where you can get everything you need for your level. We have over 100 kites for rent — all the most modern types available on the kite market. If you like the kits, after the course we offer you the opportunity to buy new equipment from us with a 15% discount.
STORAGE
We will ensure a carefree stay for you. Kitepass allows you to use the entire KITE POWER infrastructure including sunbeds, sun zones, showers and toilets, storage for kite equipment, assisted launch and landing of the kite and our permanent rescue boat on the water.
Your safety is our priority. During kiting, our rescue boat is constantly at sea, ready to help you at any time.
HOW TO REACH US
The transfer from Hurghada airport to El Goun only takes about 30 minutes. Our driver with the KITE POWER El Gouna sign will be waiting for you at the airport and will bring you directly to our station or your hotel.
Kitebags are a matter of course during the transfer! We also offer our own transport, tuk tuk or taxi.
